The adulterous woman ...


( Morning of 29 July 2015 )

I had a terrible dream last night of a woman who was unfaithful to her husband. He was away and she was becoming increasingly intimate with her lover within the family home. She wanted to be a movie star and was being filmed on the set of a tempestuous, love story with the man whom she was having an affair with.

 I had no idea what the dream was about !
When I woke today and asked the Lord for a scripture to help me understand.

 Without thinking I typed JEREMIAH 3:20 in google's search engine.

I have not read or referred to the book of Jeremiah in a while so that was unexpected.
 This is what came up.

 "Surely, as a woman treacherously departs from her lover, So you have dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel," declares the LORD. ~ Jeremiah 3:20

 I have been pondering over this.

 Society has been numbed and pulled away from the Lord's immaculate standards. The cultural acceptance of issues like homosexuality, abortion, the disregard for holy covenant has been laying heavily on my heart.

 I believe the Lord was showing me His grief on these issue.... The adulterous woman has perverted her ways and forgotten Her true love and is caught up with the ways and wiles of the world....to her everything seems intoxicating and wonderful.
We truly are living in the last days when evil so abounds, deception is at it's height ... to the ordinary person it all looks "good". He deems that progress is occurring !

 This is what happens when we lack a shepherd and have NOT been fed on Heavenly Ways. 

 PURITY becomes a rarity and sensuality, sex, outward. beauty and fame is what moves the masses.

 " Let us lie down in our shame, and let our humiliation cover us; for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day. And we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.” ~ Jeremiah 3:25

 The Lord's heart is so Grieved with the perversions of the world.
We need to rise up and be true representatives of Heaven. Living a HOLY life, SET APART, with HIS IMMACULATE STANDARDS ... not the world's standards that are so horribly defiled.
If we don't set this example then who will ?
His standards are pristine.
We cannot conform in ANY WAY ... nor allow even the tiniest opening to the enemy for the sake of ease, comfort or convenience.

 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
~ John 17:15/18

THIS IS THE NARROW WAY. SO NARROW that our lives will look odd to others.
Yes even peculiar ...

 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; ~ 1 Peter 2:9 

 So if your lifestyle is very much like the world's ways it's time for a change.
It's time for a greater standard of obedience.
Check your life to see if you are the adulterous woman in any way.
It may not be obvious ... so look very closely.
If you are in an intimate relationship with a partner and not in a true marriage covenant then you are committing adultery! The adulterous do not enter the Kingdom of Heaven !

 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men ~ 1 Corinthians 6:9 

 Faithfulness is not enough, we have a COVENANT God. He sealed each covenant IN BLOOD ! The new covenant sealed in the BLOOD OF HIS BELOVED SON.

This is how serious a covenant is.

 Also, If you find yourself growing fond of and affectionate of someone more than your partner, you need to stop this in its tracks and restore your marriage and your first love.
( Everything is shadow & symbolic of our relationship with the Lord ... especially our marriages ).

If you are not serving the Lord, sharing the gospel, saving the lives of those the Lord has especially prepared for you, then you are not obeying His commands, and your declarations of love for Him are not true. 
They ring Hollow, sounding good to everyone but Him.

 I am taking this time today to examine myself... to see if I myself have betrayed Him in anyway. I am asking Holy Spirit to bring to light anything I need to be aware of.

 We must be willing to humble ourselves to His correction.

 When the Lord releases a dream of this nature and then provides a confirmation to it, it is a warning that I do not take lightly.
